Know San Sebastián, meet the Basque Country

San Sebastián is one of the most beautiful cities of the Basque country. There live more than 186.000 persons, and is one of the most famous tourist places in Spain. San Sebastián, the capital city, celebrates every year the most important spanish cinema festival where famous cinema stars and directors from around the world come to show their movies and compite to win the Silver Shell.

If you reserve a hotel in San Sebastian, you have to visit the Kursaal, a modern architecture building placed near the famous beach of “La Concha”. This beach received the most important scenes of the Belle Epoque (Years 20) of Spain.

If you sleep in San Sebastián, we recommend to you an incredible sightseeing. It the late afternoon go to in the Bay of la Concha and admire  the impressive work of the sculptor Eduardo Chillida, “El Peine del Viento“.

In addition, if you travel with children, don’t forget to visit the “Aquarium” where your children will have fun discovering the marine fauna in the first museum of natural sciences of Spain opened in 1928.
